"Le Theatre"

Paris: Goupil & Co, Manzi, Joyant and Co.

Le Théatre was an illustrated monthly review of French theatre. This binding encompasses the second six-month period for the year 1901, starting with No. 61 (July 1901) and continuing to No. 72 (December 1901). It is a beautiful periodical with many photographs of the era’s greatest names, such as Nadar, Boyer, Reutlinger, and others. This is an original binding illustrated by Georges De Feure, one of the master artists of Parisian Art Nouveau. An incredible resource of early French theatre, including the Comedie-Française, the Académie Nationale de Musique, the Théatre du Palais-Royal, the Théatre National de l’Odéon, the Folies-Bergére, the Olympia, and many others. Le Théatre is also a wonderful resource for costume and set design of the early 20th Century. Published by Paris Goupil & Co, Manzi, Joyant and Co.
