Bound in three volumes with the original wrappers bound in, Paris Known and Unknown is a serialized monograph on Parisian and French history and culture. There are beautiful illustrations throughout the volumes, many in color by Maurice Leloir, and various other illustrations, maps, and designs. There is also an extensive section on the contemporary poster artists of the Belle Époque with many illustrations. William Walton was a prolific writer of guides and histories of France, as well as writings on European art and international expositions. Published by George Barrie & Son, Philadelphia, 1898.
