French Provincial Cabinet in 2 Parts

Anonymous
Circa 1835
86 1/2'' x 42 1/2'' x 19 1/2''

An excellent example of French Provincial style, this two-part cabinet exhibits fine detail work and proportions. Bordered scallop motifs and a late Rococo finialpiece date the construction to around 1835. Both lock mechanisms are keyed, original and in working order, as are the interior stay latches. The upper glass is well-glazed and in very fine condition, and the base contains two fixed wooden shelves. Measurements are at the highest, widest, and deepest points.
